A long, long, time ago......

September 27th, 2010 at 05:38 pm

Hello Saving Advice Friends!

It has been a very long time since I updated my blog. But, I hope to start coming here daily with a few words about my financial life.
When I come here I pay more attention to my saving and spending wisely. I can't do it perfectly like so many of you seem to be able to do, so I think I felt a little intimidated by writing about my financial life here. But, after further review, I know I need whatever help I can get to pay more attention to my money.
So, hopefully, my blog will begin to grow again.
I have credit cards to pay off, a house that needs to be refinanced at a better rate, and savings accounts that needs to grow.
I have recently lost 25 pounds! So that goal has been reached. Now, on to the finances.
My short term goal is to get our travel trailer refinanced at a better rate or simply transfer the entire balance to a 0% for a year credit card. I don't have a working computer at home right now, so I will be posting on my blog from work and there is limited time for that.

Question?.... How do I update my sidebar?

Okay, thanks scottish girl. So, I just put whatever in those boxes after I click on control panel? I have stuff on my sidebar now, but I forget how I did it?

Yep, I'm sure that's right. Just click on Update once you've updated your details in the boxes

Welcome back. My best posts seem to be the ones where I screw up horribly. I think the reason why is that it's entertaining for others to read about, but more importantly, by acknowledging it, and even blogging about it, it meant that I was black-and-white clear about what went wrong, and I was publicly "on the hook" to right the wrong.

In short, blogging made me move forward.

The posts where everything does right? I don't really move forward, although it's nice to be able to stop and give yourself a pat on the back once in a while... because when it comes to frugality, so few people recognizes that in real life.

Welcome back. I recently came back too after a very long time. I do better as well when I'm writing my financial thoughts down. It keeps me accountable I suppose but it also is a good way to get things off my chest.

    Good luck with your goals.
